   Au trecut 6 luni de cind aceste Flori pentru Pasha asteptau o margine.....am tot stat pe ginduri atita timp in privinta culorii, iar cind momentul magic a venit totul a mers ca pe apa....Piping rosu si binding verde kaki. 

It's been 6 months already since these Flowers for Pasha were waiting a binding...I was in doubt all this time about the colour to use, but when the magic moment came, everything just flowed smoothly.

Se vad clar micile probleme de tensionare pe care Brother-ul meu le dezvolta in special cind firul superior este YLI moni-filament ( aici de culoarea fumului) .....mda, intr-o zi voi avea o Bernina :)

On the back are visible the small tension problems that my Brother is developing especially when the superior thread is a YLI mono-filament. ( smoked here ) ...yep, someday I will have a Bernina :)

De data aceasta marginea am termocolat-o cu Steam-a-seam2...doar asa, ca divertisment la metoda manuala sau mecanica de a coase marginea.

This time the binding is set in with Steam-a-seam2 just for a small diversion to the manual or mecanic method of sewing the binding....

Apoi micul, noul si aditictiv-ul meu hobby (decupajul ) m-a impins sa ii fac cadou jumatatii mele doua tavite de sticla pe care va putea prezenta musafirilor , spre inspectie si eterna admiratiune :)) - dopurile de la sticlele de vin ce vor fi consumate cu maaare placere , ca de fiecare data ;)  

The new,small and addictive hobby of mine ( the decoupage ) pushed me to gift my DH with two glass-plates destinated for presenting to the guests the wine cork stoppers - for inspection, smelling and eternal admiration :)) - Bottles of wines that will be consumed with great satisfaction like every time ;) ....

 

A venit intre timp toamna cu adevarat....picioare reci, degete amortite.....sosete noi :)) in derulare.

Autumn is here, indeed....cold feet, numb toes ....new socks :)) in progress .

Pe masa din studio ma asteapta setul de materiale batik trimise de Smaranda pentru un nou proiect de grup :

"Cafea sau Ciocolata ? " 

....mai am 22 de zile pina la data finala.

visez la primavara - dreaming of spring

Azi am intrat intr-o librarie si dupa o jumatate de ora am iesit cu zimbetul pe fata si cu aceste carti in brate...precum se vede deja visez la primavara si ma cam maninca degetele ;))...

Today I entered in a library and after half of hour I get out smiling with these two beauties in my arms...as you can see I'm already dreaming about spring, my fingers are itching...

Ambele carti sunt din editura Teora si sunt bogat ilustrate...320 pagini si 350 pagini...merita fiecare banutz, cu toate ca parerea mea este ca sunt mai scumpe decit cartile de specialitate din alte tari...citeva imagini ating coarde sensibile...imagini ca si acestea :

Both books are from Teora publisher and have rich ilustrations...first one has 320 pages and the other one has 350...it worths every penny, even that in my opinion they are most expensive then other speciality books from foreign country or foreign publishers.

adica parfumul meu favorit si o mica lotiune de corp din aceasi gama... de fapt parfumul meu cu adevarat FAVORIT este cel clasic, albastru de la Bvulgari, pe care l-am folosit constant in ultimii 10 ani. Dar acesta prezinta o problema tehnica la sticla : se scurge pe linga gitul de plastic de la capac ( nu e etansa sticla) . Pina acum am 3 genti foarte frumos mirositoare ( a se citi : la greu parfumate) din cauza ca parfumul s-a scurs incetisor-incetisor ...chiar ma gindeam ca intr-o zi am sa le scriu , cu rugamintea de a verifica si schimba ambalajul de la acest clasic...nu de alta dar mi-e cam dor de acea aroma...
I mean : my favorit perfume and a small body lotion in the same brand...well, in fact my REALLY favorite perfume, used for the last some-10 years, is the classic blue one from Bvlgari.But they have a real problem with THAT bottle: it leaks often. And , untill now I have 3 bags extremely perfumed ( the bottles leaked slowly inside of the bags , along the plastic neck from the cap...well...perhaps I will write them someday, asking to check and change the bottle at the classic...I still love that fragrance on my skin...and I'm somehow missing it...

Si acum va las sa trageti cu ochiul putin de tot si la ultimele doua lucrari patchwork. Ambele vor pleca spre Franta, in viitorul apropiat, pentru concursul Ocru, organizat de Histoires de Boites a Couture si cel de-al doilea pentru expozitia Smaranda Bourgery- Beauce Arts Textile. Detalii AICI.

Exercitii pentru stippling si pentru pictat cu atza ( thread painting)... Pe matase crem , trandafiri gri-argintii...M-am blocat la margine, sunt indecisa de forma - drept sau in valuri -pe negru sau pe gri...cu embellishari sau nu...Embellishari am spus? frunze de trandafir din fetru gri, brodate cu ata metalica argintie si eventual feltate ici si colo pe margine...cum suna ??

Exercises for stippling and thread painting...on cream silk background some gray-silver roses. I'm stuck on border and binding, I'm quite unsure about the form : square or scallops, black or gray, embellished or not. Embellished I said ? well some gray felt rose leaves, embroidered with silver metallic thread...scattered here and there on the border...how's that ??



Spatele...trapunto adevarat...poate chiar mai reusit decit fata...ma gindesc sa folosesc ambele fete la expunere...poate chiar sa pictez putin spatele cu argintiu....hmmm...prea multe idei pt un cap mic . ha-ha...

The back of the quilt : a real trapunto ! maybe more attractive than the right side...I'm thinking to use both sides for showing...perhaps some little silver painting on the petals...hmmmm... too many ideeas for a small head. LOL.



Si pentru ca eu nu ma pot opri la doar o piesa, ( oricum am in lucru 3-4 creatii deodata pe care le pun sub ac dupa pofta si chef) am pus putin la treaba si ustensila Clover pentru facut pom-pom-uri. O achizitie de acum 3 ani care isi arata utilitatea de-abia acum...Eu am o vorba : " ceea ce cumpar EU, in mod sigur intr-o zi este foarte folositor!" trebuie doar asteptata ziua respectiva.ha-ha...

And because I can't stop at just one piece ( anyway I have in work 3 or 4 pieces that I put under the needle when and if I want ) I put for a little work the Clover pom-pom maker that I bought about 3 years ago...Quite a usefull shopping...I have a saying : " what I- personally- buy is really needed some day ", all you have to do is wait for THAT day. LOL.



O plimbare prin gradina toamna si ma intorc cu buzunarele pline : piersici albe si alune . Mi-e gindul la o prajitura parfumata....

Always after a walk in my garden in autumn I came back with full pockets : white peaches and hazelnuts. I'm just thinking at a juicy cake....



Culorile toamnei sunt incredibile...natura este incredibila...si da! ACELA este degetul meu :))

Si acum o privire furisa, mica-mica, la proiectul meu de Craciun ! adica sper ca aceasta lucrare sa fie gata pentru expozitia din decembrie a ARP la Casa Schiller - Bucuresti. Atit, doar o mica privire furisa...;))

Sunt o lenesa...o mare lenesa...din cauza vremii ! ;)) ploua si e trist....asa ca nu merge nimic...si ca sa fiu in ton cu picurii de ploaie si totusi cu gindul la o toamna frumoasa, m-am apucat din vreme de tricotat.Simplu...;))
I'm a lazy...a big lazyyyy...due tot the weather, of course! ;)) it's raining, it's cold and sad...anything isn't going right so to be "accorded" to the rain drops and still thinking at a beautifull, warm and smelly autumn I started early a small knitting. Like that, simple...;))

Oh, cel mai frumos lucru din zilele acestea a fost sosirea comenzii din SUA de la Sharon Schamber. Am comandat un SUPREME SLIDER, un QUILT HALO si am primit cadou un model de quilting creat de Sharon.
Ooh, and the prettiest thing of these days was receiving the parcel from Sharon Schamber ( USA).I ordered a SUPREME SLIDER, a QUILT HALO and I received as gift a pattern, Sharons' creation.



Aici am si pus in practica halo-ul pt quilting si in dreapta se vede putin din tablita slider. Niste minunatii, pe cuvint ! merita investita! sunt super incintata ca de data aceasta am cheltuit banii cu cap si cu rost. Si cu rezultate evidente ;)).
Tablita Slider este o minunatie, nu greseste deloc Sharon cind spune ca pe ea un quilt aluneca ca o rata pe apa LOL. Este un vis...nu mai simt durerea in umeri, nu mai simt muschii minilor tensionati si nu trebuie sa fac pauze atit de dese...
iar Halo-ul ?? oooh...un "gadget" pe care il pot trece pe lista FOLOSITOR CU ADEVARAT. Este de fapt un cerc de metal greu, invelit intr-o suprafata cauciucata care se "lipeste" efectiv de suprafata quiltului, astfel acesta devine atit de usor de manevrat incit cu 2 degete fac stippling cintind...
Si va rog sa ma credeti le-am cumparat pe bani , nu le fac reclama dintr-un motiv ascuns!!

Here, as you can see, I already put at work the quilting halo and in the right side it can be seen a small part of the supreme slider. They are really treasures, believe me! I'm so proud that this time I spend some money in something really usefull. And with obvious results.
The slider is a dream, Sharon is right about saying that, on it the quilt is sliding like a duck on the water.LOL. With it I don't feel the pain in the shoulders, I don't have my arm muscles tensioned and I don't need to make so much pauses.
And what about the halo ?? oohhh..it's a "gadget" that I can label pretty fair with REALLY USEFULL. It is actually a heavy metall ring, coated with a rubbery surface that "cling" to the quilt surface...so I can make stippling with two fingers singing...
And please believe me I did payed for them, I don't advertise for some hided reason!

Ieri am primit un ATC cit o mica bijuterie, brodata manual, de la Elena
Yesterday I received a jewel of ATC, manually embroidered, from Elena...



..iar eu i-am trimis, la schimb, aceasta prima lucrare facuta cu masina mea embellisher : "Culoare in lumea mea "

And I sent her in swap this first work on my the embellisher, named " Colour in my world"



Totodata ieri seara, intr-un moment de maxima relaxare, la lumina portocalie a focului din semineu, am simtit ca e cel mai potrivit moment pentru a i-l face cadou lui Mircea pe... Movuliu ;)) , insotit evident de o pernita....

And also, yesterday evening, into a deeply relaxing moment, under the warm orange light of the chimney fire, I felt that was just the right time to give "Mr. Mauve" to my DH. Accompanied by a small mauve pillow, of course...


Surpriza a fost totala... :))
