a beautiful meeting

Simbata a fost o zi frumoasa....am fost in Satu-Mare la o intilnire pe tema crosetat-tricotat.

Am ajuns pe la ora 12, acasa la Csilla ( in stinga imaginii ) unde am intilnit-o pentru prima data pe Kriszta ( in dreapta imaginii ) care este o maestra in materie de crosetat.

Pe masa bunatati de mincat ( Csilla ne-a rasfatat cu pogace cu brinza ) si bunatati de citit - reviste de crosetat-tricotat, craft.

Ne-am cadorisit intre noi cu mici lucrusoare hand-made si apoi minutele au inceput sa treaca foarte repede....

Saturday was a lovely day...I was gone in Satu-Mare at a crochet/knitting meeting.

I arrived at Csilla's ( in the left of picture near little girl Lilla) home around 12 o'clock where I met Kriszta for the first time ( right in the image ) . Kriszta is a master in crocheting.

Csilla spoiled us with goodies to eat : cheese -cookies , and goodies to read : crochet-knit and craft magazines.

We treated each other with small handmade gifts and after that the minutes started to pass quickly...

Dupa citva timp apare si Hajni ( in mijloc ) , verisoara Csillei. La fel ca si Kriszta, Hajni este o mare pasionata de crosetat.

After a while arrived Hajni ( in the middle ) , a cousin of Csilla. She is also a passionate about crochet.

and we started to show and tell our works

Am invatat totodata cum se unesc anumite piese crosetate intre ele....

Iar cum mie mi-a placut tare mult bluza ce o purta Hajni

I also learned how to join certain crocheted pieces.

And as I do like a lot Hajni's blouse

am luat modelul ...evident conform secolului in care traim : o imagine digitala ;)

I took the pattern in a very modern way : a digital photography ;)

Lilla - fetita Csillei - a fost personajul plin de viata al zilei, marea pictorita care nu a vrut sa lase pensula din mina nici macar pentru masa de prinz....Nem si nem ! :))

Csilla, fiica-ta are deja drumul asigurat in arta !

Lilla - Csilla's little girl - was the joy of the day, the great painter who didn't let the brush down nor for lunch time....No and no !

Csilla, your daughter is already set on her artistic way !

Iar acest ghem de lina neagra caruia nu i se vad ochii este Maya, catelul familiei , o bijuterie de catel care cu toata blindetea ei a reusit sa bage in sperieti pina la lacrimi doua fetite dragalase dar obosite ( fetitele mamicilor prea ocupate cu povesti si risete pe o terasa racoroasa intr-o gradina plina de flori )

And this black ball of wool of which you can't see the eyes is Maya, the family dog, a sweet and lovely soul that despite her tenderness achieved to terrify till tears two little sweet girls but tired also ( those too busy talking and laughing on a cool porch in a flower garden mamas girls )

Apoi Csilla a rasfatat pe toata lumea pentru masa de prinz cu bunatati la grill ....aceasta va fi si ultima poza pentru ca dupa atita poveste si mincare buna ni s-a facut cam somn....Am primit si tratament rapid impotriva somnului : inghetata si cafea-frappe .....alte povesti, alte risete apoi spre seara am pornit fiecare spre casa ei .....

Am ajuns acasa cu bine , fericita ca am avut o zi atit de frumoasa.

Then Csilla spoiled everybody with lunch : grilled goodies.

This will be the last picture because after so much eating and talking we become sleepy... quickly received the treatment for that : ice-cream and caffe-frappe....following some more stories, more laughters.....late in the evening we leave to our homes each of us....

I arrived at home safe and happy that I had such a wonderful day.

tired Monday

Starea mea de azi ;)

My mood today ;)

In ultimul timp nu ma odihnesc bine....adorm foarte tirziu , spre dimineata si ma trezesc obosita....gindurile umbla aiurea, obosite si ele....si obositoare totodata.
Am descoperit - cu mare bucurie - ca , atunci cind ma joc aiurea cu pensula pe pinze,...nu gindesc ! pe cuvint. Sunt libera si usoara si nu gindesc....e o stare de gol si de lumina totodata....si ma simt atit de bine :). Culoare dupa culoare si descopar cit de repede s-a "umplut" pinza....:)
Azi am pornit intentionat la mizgalit pinze doar asa pentru a ma elibera de ginduri....folosesc bucati "urite" din alte experimente - vopsirea naturala, sau esecuri din primele incercari de stampilare....
Le intzep -pinzele - , pe toata marginea, cu ace de gamalie pe o foaie mare de polistiren imbracata in nylon si ...lumea e a mea ! :)

Lately I didn't get a proper sleep...I fell asleep very late - in the morning- and I wake up tired...my thoughts are disordered, tired...and tiring , too.
I happily discovered that in those moments when I doodle with paints on fabric I don't think! honestly.
I'm free and lightweight and I'm not thinking at anything....an emtpy feeling, a lightened empty feeling...and I feel so good :) Colour after colour and soon discover that the fabric is "full"...
Today I started intentionate to doodle on some fabric just for releasing my thoughts...I use "ugly" pieces of fabric , previously used in other experiments like natural dyeing or stamping and decided as failures.
I pin them on a polystyrene sheet covered in nylon and....I own the world ! :)

dupa ce se usuca, le calc si le...admir (ha-ha )... nu conteaza CE iese atita timp cit ma simt BINE.... si aceste doua bucati vor deveni in scurt timp carti postale textile. Mixed-media :).

After drying, I iron them and....admire .LOL.Doesn't matter WHAT results as long as I'm feeling GOOD....these two pieces will become shortly fabric postal cards. Mixed-media. :)

Pentru ca Beverley - prietena mea englezoaica - urmeaza sa plece din Romania , si mai ales pentru ca ii place mov-ul ;), azi i-am pregatit un mic cadou de ramas-bun....O pernita - o stea paper-pieced dupa metoda Carol Doak - si o fotografie de la ultima noastra intilnire de lucru...moment cind i-am facut brosa mov care se vede in imagine ;). Am pus fotografia intr-o rama cu doar putin decoupage - flori de lavanda.... Mda, iarasi mov :))

Because Beverley - my english friend - is leaving Romania, and also because she like purple, today I prepared her a small farewell gift. A paper-pieced star ( Carol Doak method ) pillow and a picture of her from our last working-meeting...time when I made her that purple brooch that you see in the picture. I made a painted frame with just a little decoupage - some lavender flowers....Yep, purple again :))

Are sa-mi lipseasca....dar cine stie cind , mai incolo in viata, drumurile noastre se vor intersecta din nou....

I'll miss her....who knows when later in life, our roads will intersect again ......

autumn already ??

Se pare ca in gradina toamna se strecoara pe furis....frunza cu frunza...

It seems that here, in the garden , the autumn is sneaking slowly....leaf by leaf...

gasesc sub ciresc din ce in ce mai multe frunze aurii...

I found under the cherry tree more and more golden leaves....

si putin mai incolo, din ce in ce mai multe pere aurii ;)

and a little far away ,more golden pears day by day....

La prima impresie totul e acelasi verde, luxuriant de bogat, verde adinc....dar parfumul toamnei deja se simte in aer...

At the first glance everything seems the same green, deep green...but autumn perfume is already in the air....

Gata cu gradina...sa trec la altele....am primit un cadou - surpriza totala! - din partea Mirunei ...cu ocazia onomasticii mele...:)

In fiecare lucrusor trimis am gasit gindirea unui artist textil...."ceva" ce poate - cu putina imaginatie si putina munca - sa devina "altceva"...

Mi-ai trimis scinteia in dar , Miruna. Multumesc.

Enough with the garden stuff....I received a totally surprise parcel, from Miruna ...on my name birthday...:)

In every sent thing I found the thoughts of an textile artist : something" that can become - with little imagination and little work - "something" else...

You sent me the spark, Miruna. Thank you.

In ultima saptamina am participat la un curs de decoupage pe sticla la magazinul hobby din orasul vecin. Prietena mea, Noemi, mi-a ghidat primii pasi - si pensula deopotriva :)) - in aceasta directie...e o tehnica minunata, atit de adictiva !

Evident ca am uitat de poze in entuziasmul inceputului :)) , asa ca ...aici deja sunt spre final, la faza de pouf-uire ;) Si da ! folosesc o pensula de la fardul de obraz :)). Ma pot folosi de tot ce am la indemina, nu ? :))

In the last week I take a course in decopatch on glass at the hobby-shop in the neighbour city. My friend, Noemi, guide my first steps - an my brush, too :)) - in this direction...it's a wonderful technique, so addictive !

Obviously that I forgot about making pictures at the beginning due to excitement, so here am I at the pouff-ing stage ;)... yes! with a blush brush :)) I can use anything I have on my disposal, isn't it ? :))

Acestea sunt piesele pe care am lucrat - evident inca nefinalizate la aceasta ora....este foarte multa munca migaloasa, dar e atit de placuta si plina de satisfactii !
And these are the pieces that I've worked on - still unfinished yet at this hour....it's a lot of minutious work but it's so pleasant and rewarding !

working together

Did I mention you how nice is working together ? sewing patchwork beside a friend ??
V-am mai spus oare cit de bine e sa lucrezi impreuna ? sa cosi patchwork impreuna cu o prietena ??

we started a Christmas quilt from these strips

am inceput un quilt de Craciun cu aceste benzi

at the beginning, on my Brother sewing machine , Beverley was quite... ( read on her lips :)) )

la inceput , cosind cu masina mea Brother, se pare ca Beverley era chiar.....( cititi-i pe buze :)) )

did I mention working together ? well, here I am, me too, sewing on my beloved old Bernina ( wow, what an antique sewing machine means! she sew just wonderful! )

am spus cumva sa lucrezi impreuna ?? ei bine, sunt si eu pe aici, cosind cu din nou indragita Bernina ( wow! ce inseamna o masina de cusut veche. Coase minunat! )

And here is having not quite so big smile, but more a tired and satisfied one . I believe her just because we manage to sew ALL the blocks in just 5 hours ( of course this included lunch, tea time and consequences of it ;), phones, sms and a lot of laughter and giggle)

Iar aici are un zimbet nu tocmai la fel de larg dar la fel de mindru si satisfacut pe deasupra. Si o cred pentru ca , impreuna, am reusit sa coasem in doar 5 ore TOATE acele blocuri ( bineee, 5 ore in care includem prinzul. ceaiurile si consecintele acestuia, telefoanele si sms-urile plus multe risete si chicoteli)

and I mean ALL of those 90 blocks. Yep.... A lot of sewing, some un-sew to do , too :)), ironing and all related stuff.

It will be a large and Christmas quilt !

si ma refer la TOATE cele 90 blocuri. Mda. O gramada de cusut, putin de des-cusut :)), calcat si tot restul....

Va fi un quilt de Craciun mare si minunat !

Next week we'll meet for the assemblage and perhaps sandwiching it....it was such a fun to sew beside a friend....a lot to learn ( english of course) a lot to laugh....

Meanwhile outside is summer....a capricious one.

Saptamina viitoare ne vom intilni din nou pentru a-l asambla si face sandwich-ul. A fost distractiv sa cos linga prietena mea....a multime de invatat ( engleza, desigur ) si multe risete....

Intre timp afara e vara. O vara capricioasa...

In the garden is quiet ...inside is quiet....

In gradina este liniste.....in interior este liniste....

I was caught without my knowing , while I talked to Goldie...teaching her all the stuff about weeds :))

Am fost surprinsa - fara stirea mea - intr-o poza , povestindu-i lui Goldie totul despre buruieni :))

and she seems to understand me...her personal way to deal this problem is to step right on them ;).

Si se pare ca ma intelege....oricum ea prefera un stil putin mai personal ca sa trateze aceasta problema : le calca, pur si simplu ;).

Quiet and green...my tomatoes are still green...a lot of them but still green...being green it's the "in-thing", you know ;)...

Liniste si verde....rosiile mele sunt totusi verzi....o multime de rosii verzi :))...sa fii "verde" in ziua de azi e la moda ;)...

a small and very organic garden...just compost and nothing else chemical...

o gradina micuta si foarte organica....doar compost si nimic altceva chimic in ea....

and the last picture...for today. I do hope that my bamboo will survive the following winter in this new spot....I'm in love with bamboo...I dream of having a bamboo forest.....

Beverleys' felted pendant

Acum citeva luni am intilnit-o , pur si simplu intimplator in magazinul hobby, pe Beverley. Ea este o englezoaica autentica, plina de sarm si voie buna. De fiecare data cind ne intilnim , realizez ca uit complet sa fac poze :))...

Ieri am invitat-o la mine acasa pentru a lucra patchwork. Dar s-a indragostit iremediabil de masina embellisher ( de feltat ) ;)

A few months ago, I meet Beverley quite accidentaly in the hobby shop. She's an authentic Englishwoman charming and full of joy...it'a real pleasure meeting her. Every time I completely forgot to take some pictures :))) too much talking ;)

Yesterday she was invited to my home for some patchwork-time. But....she felt in love irremediable with my felting machine ;)

a fost pentru prima data ca a lucrat cu acest gen de masina....Mie imi statea inima pe atza asteptind sa aud pocnetul caracteristic al ruperii acelor - lucru inevitabil la orice incepator.Dar stiti ce ? dupa citeva minute de indicatii repetate de " intii viteza maxima, apoi misca materialul", embellisher-ul torcea ca o pisicuta alintata. Si nici macar un ac rupt. :) Are talent !

Aici e la inceput in joaca cu culorile...

For her was the very first time working with this type of machine. I had my heart strung high-up on a thread, waiting to hear in any moment that characteristic sound of broken needles - an inevitable for any beginner. But do you know something ? after some minutes of continuous indications "first high speed, then move the fabric":)), the embellisher was purring like a spoiled cat. And not even one broken needle :) She's a talent!

Here she's at the beginning in playing with colours :

Apoi evident ca dupa atita consum "nervos " si multa-multa consfatuire, trebuia ca obiectul feltat sa devina "ceva". Si l-am transformat impreuna intr-un pandantiv cu forma neconventionala. Rapid de tot l-am asezat pe un snur asortat si ta-daa : veselie si mindrie mare !

Then, obviously that after all that nervous consumption :) and a lot of talking, the felted object must become "something". And was transformed in a unconventionally shape pendant. Quickly I put it on a string and ta-daaa : big happy , proud smile !

si mai de aproape ...da! a cusut si margelutze, deci este un pandantiv mixed-media ! ce ziceti ? nu-i asa ca a facut o treaba minunata pentru un incepator care nu a mai vazut in viata ei o masina de feltat ?? mie imi place mult combinatia de culori....Cred ca, pina la urma, am sa imi fac si mie unul ;).

and closer ...yes! she even sew some beads achieving finally a mixed-media pendant! what do you say ? isn't that she does quite a nice job for a beginner that never see an embellisher in her life ? I love the colour combination....and I do think that I'll make one for myself ;)
