I'm a lazy ...am I ?? ;))

Sunt o lenesa...o mare lenesa...din cauza vremii ! ;)) ploua si e trist....asa ca nu merge nimic...si ca sa fiu in ton cu picurii de ploaie si totusi cu gindul la o toamna frumoasa, m-am apucat din vreme de tricotat.Simplu...;))
I'm a lazy...a big lazyyyy...due tot the weather, of course! ;)) it's raining, it's cold and sad...anything isn't going right so to be "accorded" to the rain drops and still thinking at a beautifull, warm and smelly autumn I started early a small knitting. Like that, simple...;))

Oh, cel mai frumos lucru din zilele acestea a fost sosirea comenzii din SUA de la Sharon Schamber. Am comandat un SUPREME SLIDER, un QUILT HALO si am primit cadou un model de quilting creat de Sharon.
Ooh, and the prettiest thing of these days was receiving the parcel from Sharon Schamber ( USA).I ordered a SUPREME SLIDER, a QUILT HALO and I received as gift a pattern, Sharons' creation.



Aici am si pus in practica halo-ul pt quilting si in dreapta se vede putin din tablita slider. Niste minunatii, pe cuvint ! merita investita! sunt super incintata ca de data aceasta am cheltuit banii cu cap si cu rost. Si cu rezultate evidente ;)).
Tablita Slider este o minunatie, nu greseste deloc Sharon cind spune ca pe ea un quilt aluneca ca o rata pe apa LOL. Este un vis...nu mai simt durerea in umeri, nu mai simt muschii minilor tensionati si nu trebuie sa fac pauze atit de dese...
iar Halo-ul ?? oooh...un "gadget" pe care il pot trece pe lista FOLOSITOR CU ADEVARAT. Este de fapt un cerc de metal greu, invelit intr-o suprafata cauciucata care se "lipeste" efectiv de suprafata quiltului, astfel acesta devine atit de usor de manevrat incit cu 2 degete fac stippling cintind...
Si va rog sa ma credeti le-am cumparat pe bani , nu le fac reclama dintr-un motiv ascuns!!

Here, as you can see, I already put at work the quilting halo and in the right side it can be seen a small part of the supreme slider. They are really treasures, believe me! I'm so proud that this time I spend some money in something really usefull. And with obvious results.
The slider is a dream, Sharon is right about saying that, on it the quilt is sliding like a duck on the water.LOL. With it I don't feel the pain in the shoulders, I don't have my arm muscles tensioned and I don't need to make so much pauses.
And what about the halo ?? oohhh..it's a "gadget" that I can label pretty fair with REALLY USEFULL. It is actually a heavy metall ring, coated with a rubbery surface that "cling" to the quilt surface...so I can make stippling with two fingers singing...
And please believe me I did payed for them, I don't advertise for some hided reason!

apoi am trecut la scos simburele si am le-am aruncat, bineinteles, pe cele cu " carne bio" ha-ha!
then I take out the stones and of course, put away those "bio meaty" ( with worms LOL)

Imi place sa pastrez totul simplu, cit mai rustic, asa ca : voila! sistemul meu de fierbere. la foc de lemne . Realizat din 3 pereti din caramida , cadrul din lemn si bineinteles...cratita de inox. Aceasta cratita este atit de mare incit are locul ei de repaus stabilit pe raftul din garaj, este enorma si nu incape in bucataria mea mica...Aceasta este prima poza de cind am pornit fierberea...care va dura timp de 5-6 ore pe timpul zilei de azi.
I like to keep everything pretty simple and rustical, so : voila! my boiling system. With natural wood fire. Made of 3 brick walls, wood frame and of course the inox big pot. This pot is so big that it has its own rest place on the garage shelf ( it's too big for my small kitchen) This is the photo when the plums are set in the pot, at the beggining of the boiling....that will last for aproximative 5-6 hours during the day...a lot of hand-spinning ...

Cam asa arata dupa citeva ore de fiert....pentru ca nu am folosit DELOC zahar, fierberea dureaza mult mai mult dar merita!! se pastreaza gustul natural al prunelor.
This is how it looks after several hours of boiling...because I did not use ANY sugar, the boiling process takes a lot of time...but it worth it !the result is more natural, preserving the real taste of plums.


Si cam pe la final, deja obositi de atita invirtit in cratita, si de povestit si de citit ( ceva trebuie sa faci timp de atitea ore, nu ?) magiunul incepe sa miroase in toata curtea...Mmmmm...
And around final, when tired for such long hand spinning, and talking and reading ( well, we have to do something during all these long hours, no ?) the "magiun" start to smell all over the yard....Mmmm...



Bineinteles ca am avut si ajutor...la privit ! ha-ha...

Dupa ce se raceste bine si prinde pojghita la suprafata, adica cam pe a doua zi, se inchid borcanele cu capace. Acum poate sa vina si iarna..."dulce" avem destul ;)) chiar si pentru prieteni.
After is getting cold and dry on the surface, I mean about next morning, the jars have to be closed.Now the winter can come, we have enough "sweet" even for friends.

Imi place la nebunie snurul I-cord, nu ma pot opri din impletirea lui...de data aceasta am combinat doua culori intr-un singur snur care poate lua forma de bratara ca mai jos :

I'm in love with the I-cord, I just can't stop myself from make it...this time I combined two colours in one cord, the result can be worn ( or wear?) as a bracelet like in the following picture:

azi nu m-am simtit bine de cind m-am ridicat din pat....infricosatoare ameteli ca niciodata in viata mea...poate ca imbatrinesc....oh, da: in mod sigur imbatrinesc, dar nu asa.....pfuii!!! stare de fapt care m-a facut sa ma simt nefolositoare in casa mea : fara gatit, fara curatat, nimic-nimic decit stat in pat ...si cind am simtit ca patul incepe sa ma "friga" am sarit in fotoliul meu drag cu croseta in mina si ....voila! doar o mica privire pe furis :
... today I wasn't feeling right since getting up of my bed...extremely scarying vertigo like no other time in my life...perhaps I'm getting older...oh, right : I'm AM getting older ...phew!!...something that makes me feel quite unusefull in my home, no cooking, no cleaning, nothing just sitting in bed and after that , whan I felt that it burns me I jumped in my armchair with my hook in hand and...voila! just a sneak peak :

Aici inca este inca in faza de "blocking" ( oare cum s-o fi traducind in romana ??) plin de ace... pina miine se usuca...
Totusi inca mai trebuie sa aleg o margea potrivita pentru inchidere ...poate o margea Swarovski....si inca ma mai gindesc sa includ piesa intr-un set : cu o bratara sau cu o bratara si cercei ?? jumatatea mea mi-a spus ca el nu "vede" niste cercei in setul acesta...dar eu vad! si inca cum ii vad!! atirnatori sau doar simpli, lungi , sub forma de fir, sau pur si simplu doar niste "perle"...grele alegeri!....dor o solutie : trebuie sa ii crosetez sub toate formele si abia apoi sa aleg...nu ?
in fine....ce zi !!
Here is still in blocking fase, untill tomorrow is right done...I still have to choose a appropriate bead for the closure..perhaps a Swarovski one...and still thinking to transform it in a set : with a bracelet or with a bracelet and some earings? DH says that he can't "see" some earings in the set...but, oh,how I can! some danggling ones, or some long threaded, or simply some "pearls"...difficult options to choose...just one result : must make all sorts of and then choose..no ?

what have I done lately

Ei bine, a venit si rindul fibrei primita de la Daniela care , surprinzator, a luat forma tot de ingeras. Neaparat trebuie sa comand niste felt in culori pastelate pentru ca am in minte o alta idee care nu-mi da pace ;)
Well, the time for using the fiber received from Daniela has come and surprisingly it turns out again as angels ;)). I must keep looking for some pastel fibers because I have another great ideea in mind that keeps bothering me ;)



Apoi a venit rindul unui nou model de colier - de fapt doar medalionul este "nou" . Tot din bumbac pentru ca eu consider bijuteriile de genul acesta ca fiind potrivite sezonului incins ...ele ramin racoroase la git, sunt usoare si ...atractive.Ah, da : si pot fi spalate cu apa calduta si sapun ori de cite ori se doreste.

Then another new necklace was born - in fact only the pandantive is a "new"model.
Also, made entirely in cotton because I consider that this kind of jewelry is appropiate for the hot perioud of the year...they remain cool on the neck, lightweight and...attractive. And, oh yes : they can be washed anytime and "manytime"( LOL) you want.


In vacanta din Spania, am vazut pe mina cuiva un inel din margele care m-a atras instantaneu ( mi se intimpla foarte rar sa fiu atrasa de bijuteriile purtate de cineva tocmai pentru ca imi doresc intotdeauna unicate ). Am zimbit, am intrebat, am admirat si ...ideea a ramas in cap. Modelul ramine inca in lucru pentru ca imi doresc o "piatra" mai mare, mai voluminoasa. Inca nu am reusit sa-i dau forma finala :
In this last holiday in Spain, I see on somebody's hand a ring that kept my attention ( it happens not often to me to be attracted by someone'e else jewelry, just because I like to have unique pieces for me). So, I smiled, I asked, I admired and....the ideea remain in my head.
here it is, not in his final form because I want to create a bigger "stone" , but still I can't give it the right final form...keep working on it.

Crosetat in intregime cu fir elastic, pe care il pot numi "fir- problema":(... dar se potriveste pe oricare deget, dupa cum mi-e pofta :)))
Crocheted entirely in elastic thread , kind a troublemaker...but fit on every finger, as I please :)))...

By the way : I LOVE brown. Again. ;)


Si pentru ca azi a fost o zi mai speciala decit multe altele,zi in care am primit o declaratie de dragoste frumoasa , am raspuns in "stilul" meu :
" Doar tu ai cheia spre inima mea!"
And because today was a special day, different form many others , day in which I received a beautiful declaration, I did answer in my "style" translated in :
" Only you have the key to my heart" .

Si ...azi am facut si citeva cumparaturi. Fire colorate , ca bomboanele de vesele, pentru viitoarele bijuterii textile si citeva perle pentru viitoarele inele elastice.

And...today I made some small shoppings. Coloured threads, happy as candies, for future textile jewelries and some perls for future elastic rings.

Si ca proba pentru firele noi , un nou colier cu medalion mare si greu din sticla.
Obviously that I must check the new thread that I bought, and so, another necklace was ready. With a big and heavy glass pandantive. Must make one on brown for me :)))

Irises

Va mai amintiti de Narcisa salbatica ? a fost primul meu stained-glass mare...aproximativ 87cm latura.

Do you remember the Wild daffodil ? was my first BIG stained-glass quilt...aprox. 34 inches square.


Am ramas cu o nostalgie pentru stained-glass asa incit mi-am propus sa creez o mini-galerie de flori in tehnica aceasta...asa s-au nascut Irisii. De aceeasi dimensiune.

I do have a soft-spot for stained-glass and for this reason I intend to create a mini-gallery of stained-glass flowers...this is how the Irisis was born. The same dimensions.


Ma bate gindul sa folosesc un fond rozaliu pentru urmatoarea piesa ( pentru a avea 3 piese pe fundaluri diferite pastelate), dar...ce flori ar merge pe fond rozaliu ?? Primul gind ar fi trandafirii, dar...e prea clasic! Altceva ?

I'm thinking to use a pink background for the next piece ( to have three on different pastel tones), but....what kind of flowers should fit in a pink background ? First thought said : "roses" but it's too clasic! Anything else ?

Da, si promit pentru miine la lumina zilei o poza mai buna si pentru spatele lucrarii. Aici este aproape miezul noptii...pe zi ce trece realizez ca ma deranjeaza lipsa luminii...oricit de multe becuri ar fi aprinse nu imi sunt suficiente...oare imbatrinesc deja? ;))

And, yes, I promise a better photo on the day light tomorrow with the back of the quilt. Here it's almost midnight and day by day I realize that I have an annoying problem : the light is insufficient as much as it is around in the house...it's just not enough...because I'm getting older? ;)))

summer-time

Vara...cald...foarte cald...plimbare de dimineata cu cateii...sau mai bine zis : plimbarea cateilor de dimineata...nu intotdeauna am chef de plimbari care se finalizeaza cu mincarimi de piele si dureri de cap toata ziua din cauza alergiei... oricum, urmeaza citeva poze "racoroase" :)

Summer-time...hot...very hot...a walk in the morning with the dogs...or better saying : the dog walking from the morning...I'm not always in the mood for a walk that ends with itchy skin and head-aches all the day because of the allergyia. Anyway here you have some "refreshing" photos :)
Poor Goldie with all that hair ( or shall I say" fur-coat"? LOL) ...summer is a hard time for her ...I'm thinking myself: what happens if I cut her hair down? I mean at all...obviously it will grow again but, will she be ok? anyone knows an answer ?? PLS!

Velvet flowers...purple clematis. Even these are purple this year! ha-ha! they are all growing up, pretty well, among a rhus thypina leaves.

Intre timp am terminat "Curbe de primavara" care s-au concretizat intr-o fata de masa dreptunghiulara. Chiar daca sta pe peretele de proba, locul ei este pe masa... si este chiar primavaratica cu toate materialele acelea vopsite manual...

Meanwhile, I finished the "Spring curves" that take the form of a table-runner. Even that you see it on the wall-board, the place for it it's on a table...and is quite nice and very "spring " with all those hand-dyed fabrics in it.



In the hottest perioud of the day I usually sit in my favorite armchair, in studio, and go on with the embroidery on the silver-white crazy...pictures of it: tomorrow. Now I became suddenly..lazy ;)) don't forget about my dog hair question, pls...

Is it on the road for almost a week....still, Australia is far away...

Trebuie sa recunosc ca si aceasta noua "lume" a free-form-ului ( ca si cea a patchwork-ului) mi-a fost prezentata de Smaranda...m-a cucerit una-doua asa incit in aceeasi zi in care am citit si ras-citit pe net despre free-form am si realizat ceva. Oricum ma tot impiedicam de ghemele astea toata ziua;))...Poate ca, in timp, se va transforma intr-o palarie simpatica...Intotdeauna ( si vreau sa spun: INTOTDEAUNA) visez la palarii...

I must recognise that, also, this new free-form"world" ( as the patchwork) was introduce to me by Smaranda...it gain me so fast that in the same day that I read and learned from the net about the free-form I also realized something. Anyway, those wools were keep standing in my feet all day long;))...

Perhaps it will become in time a pretty hat...I always ( and I mean: ALWAYS) dream of hats.
