silence means...I'm working!

Daca e tacere in partea mea nu inseamna ca nu cos... ceva. Ceva mai "colorat" de aceasta data... cu aceeasi tehnica draga mie - decupajul pe textile - am imbinat patchwork-ul si quilting-ul si am creat un set la fel de romantic ca pina acum doar cu putin mai multa culoare. Albastru. Se pare ca e culoarea favorita din ultimele saptamini.

If I'm silent it doesn't mean I'm not sewing. Something. Something more colourful this time....with the same beloved technique - decoupage on fabric - along with patchwork and quilting I create this set. Also romantic as the ones before just this time with more colour. Blue. It seems to be my favourite colour in the last weeks.

 

Apoi am facut doua servete decorative pentru masa, avind la baza acelasi amalgam de tehnici. Imi face placere sa lucrez astfel, cu toate ca panoul central imi fura cam mult timp pina e gata : lipit, uscat, finisat. O dupa-masa intreaga rezervata doar realizarii panourilor in tehnica decoupage...Nu e usor dar e placut...

Then I made two decorative place-mats with the same combined techniques. I love to work this way, even that making the central panel takes me some time : glue, dry, finish . An entire afternoon reserved just for making some panels on decoupage technique....it's not easy, but it's nice. 

Apoi am facut intr-o seara testul setului pentru fondue....nu cu ciocolata ci cu brinza fondue. Si pentru ca nu ma multumesc cu atit, am scaldat crutoanele imbracate cu brinza fierbinte in....supa-crema de dovleac. Si ca embellish-are un chips de sunca uscata. 

No comment ;). 

In another evening I "test" the fondue set...not with chocolate but with cheese. Fondue cheese. And because I'm naughty in kitchen I bathe the croutons in....hot pumpkin cream-soup. Add as embellisment  some chips of dried bacon.

Chiar daca au trecut doar citeva zile de la momentul maxim al infloririi , - era inca zapada afara daca va uitati mai atent la imagine - nu pot sa nu va arat frumusetea de Amaryllis care anul acesta a avut doar 2 inflorescente....oare de ce ? 

Even that already passed some days from the maximum flowering moment - outside still was snow, look carefully in the image - I just can't let it pass without showing you those two beauties .This year it have only two flowers....I wonder why ? 

Primavara a sosit si aici....gradinaresc zilnic, urmaresc cum totul creste mai mare zi dupa zi, si uit de fiecare data aparatul foto in casa....hmmm....uitarea aceasta nu e noua pentru mine in ultima vreme....

Spring arrived here, too...gardening daily, watching how everything grows bigger and bigger, day by day....and forgetting, all the time, the camera back in the house....hmmm...forgetting, this is nothing new to me lately.

I "wonder"....why ? :))

I've done it again

Cadoul pentru Mircea a fost finalizat azi...si oferit tot azi. Cu foarte mare intirziere, ziua lui a fost totusi la finele lui februarie...rusine mie!

Culori masculine ( apreciate pe deplin de el ) , fiecare patratzel cu povestea lui...amintiri din anii trecuti. Spatele alb, shifon. Vatelina de grosime 180 ! pfuuu...numai bratele mele stiu cit de greu se quiltuieste asa ceva. Daca va uitati cu atentie la spate, vedeti pe mijloc o "ramura " a la Patsy Thompson...dupa prima mi-am dat seama ca nu se potriveste acest model de quilting pentru un quilt mare. Asa ca am trecut la un stippling nici prea mare nici prea marunt ( cum "prost" imi sta mie in obicei sa fac micro-stippling pe orice)

Culmea : este tare ca o tabla...sper ca dupa prima spalare sa se inmoaie...toate quilturile mele de pina acum au finet ( flanel) pe spate si sunt moi, pufoase si foarte comfortabile....acesta este tare ca o tabla. Inca...;)

Mirceas' gift was finished today...and offered today , too. With such a great delay, still his birthday was at the end of february...shame on me!

Manlike colours ( fully apreciated by him ) , each square with its own story...memories from the past years. Back on white musslin . Batting thick as 180!...pfuuu only my arms know how hard is to quilt something like this. If you look carefully at the quilting on the bacl you'll notice at the middle a Patsy Thompson like "branch"...after finishing the first along the quilt I realized that it is not appropriated to a big quilt so I start some stippling...not too big-not too small ( small, as I have a bad habitude to make micro-stippling on everything).

Surprisingly it is hard as a piece of metal...I do hope that after first wash it will become soft ...all my other quilts have flannel ( white) on the back , that makes them soft and puffy and comfortable. This is piece of metal...still ! ;)



Apoi am meritat o plimbare prin gradina , sa miros primavara care sta sa apara...primele floricele salbatice ( nu le stiu denumirea ) si primele tije de narcise...

Then I worthed a garden walk to smell the spring that still is hidding on the corner...the first wild tiny flowers and the first daffodils leaves.





Puteti crede ce au facut cirtitzele pe gazonul nostru ???! cita munca ne asteapta...
Cine stie cum se poate scapa de ele ??

Can you believe what all those damn moles done on our grass ?? how much work waits us...
Who knows what should we do to get rid of them ???






Ca si incheiere am descoperit ca , in cazul meu, cel mai bun medicament care ma scoate din depresie este....gatitul sau coptul piinii! Acesta este rezultatul unei "sedinte" cam lungi . LOL. Intotdeauna incerc metode noi, cit mai rapide si mai simple...in acest caz am "prelucrat" reteta de la Piine Neframintata ( No-Knead bread). Simplu , rapid si foarte gustoasa.


As a closing to this post I must say that I discover the best medicine that get me out of depression sessions : cooking or making bread. This is the result of a some long-kind "session". LOL . I always make new (as simple and quickly as can be ) experiments on old bread making recipes ...here is a personal "adnotation" at No-Knead Bread recipe. Simple, quick and Yummy....

Well, do you remember of this small and curly-hair she-angel ?

Azi dimineata, dis de dimineata - pentru ca m-am trezit din cauza zgomotului si nu am mai putut adormi-, ingerasul s-a transformat intr-un tablou "protector" pentru casa :

This morning- because I was awaked early by the traffic noise and couldn't fall asleep again - she transformed in this "protecting" home wallhanging :

Apoi brusc ziua s-a lungit mai mult decit era necesar...un drum la tara dupa un miel intreg, foarte eco-bio-etc, un drum facut aiurea cu masina necunoscind traseul ( de fapt era o mica diferenta de denumire a localitatii iar eu am crezut ca fac o mare scurtatura si totodata economie de timp si combustibil...mai mare rusinea...drum inapoi...pe drum de tara pietruit...un fazan singuratic in zbor pe deasupra terenurilor agricole ( mi-am amintit de cel din tava de saptamina trecuta LOL si am decis rapid ca e prea slab sa fie al doilea in tava- ha-ha ! ) si inapoi acasa...apoi munca de chinez batrin pina am transat-spalat-impachetat-etichetat tot mielul si l-am asezat in congelator...cam asa arata pe parcursul operatiunii - in chiuveta la faza de spalat - LOL...

Then the day become suddenly longer than necessary...a trip to the country for buying a whole lamb, a very eco-bio-whatever lamb, meat for the next winter, then returning home I take a mistake road - due to a small difference in the village name - and I was thinking that I was making a biiiig saving time and fuel . ha! shame on me...back again on the same long and nasty country road...a lonely pheasan flying above the field ( I remember the one from my oven last weekend LOL and I was deciding quickly that it was to thin to be the second on the row LOL) and then back to home....working like crazy to be done on time with all that meat : cutting, washing, packing,labelling then putting it in the freezer...this is how it looks , in the sink - washing- during the process LOL :

acum sunt obosita...ba foarte obosita...ma bucur ca totusi azi am apucat sa cos putin....

I'm tired...I'm really tired...also I'm glad that today I have the opportunity to sew just a little...

I'm so happy! I put my order last night at Brother Sibiu, and as usually Mrs. Adriana Suciu was prompt and complacent : the order is delivered the next day. A real pleasure shopping from her....

restul ...miine. Asa cum va spuneam ....sunt obosita.

How stupid someone could be ??

Cit de prost poate sa fie omul citeodata ?? Foaaarte...va spun eu! poftim ce s-a-ntimplat: pe cind imi mergea si mie bine totul,poate prea bine ca sa fie adevarat, si cind cu mult curaj am hotarit sa schimb bindingul la quiltul crazy cu o bentita argintie, ma pomenesc ca am taiat ca netoata din fundita respectiva, cu citeva zile inainte, fara sa-mi dau seama de dezastrul ce va urma...asa ca acu' stau in pom...nu pentru mult timp, doar ma cunoasteti...ceva tot fac eu...;))

How stupid can someone be ?? VERY, I told you! here is what happened : when everything seems to be to perfect to be true, when with all my courage I decided to change the binding at my crazy quilt with a silver ribbon, I found myself in a very stupid moment when I realized that, severeal days before I cut from THIS ribbon instead of other, without knowing the following disaster... so , now, I'm sitting up in the nowhere...but not for long, you know me ;))

shoppings from holiday

Citeva cumparaturi din vacanta ...dupa cum stiti in ultimul timp nu am facut altceva decit am tricotat-tricotat-tricotat...si mincat ;)) ...deci cumparaturile reflecta preocuparea ;))

Some shoppings from holiday...as you know lately I was knitting and knitting and again knitting...socks :)) oh, yes, and EATING :))) so all my shoppings are reflecting those "preocupations" ;)))


Doua perechi de ace din bambus, speciale pt sosete, o croseta mare si niste lina pentru sosete...hmmm...deloc ieftina lina asta. Sper sa-mi iasa niste sosete " mirifice" din ea. LOL.
Si acum pentru partea de "mincat-mincat" ...cum alt hobby al meu estei gatitul mi-am completat biblioteca de carti de bucate cu inca doi "puisori" : unul austriac si unul german.( ambele in limba engleza) Si evident o unealta pentru facut spaetzle pentru ca imi plac mult de tot spaetzle-urile. Apropo : cartea de bucate germana ( sub indrumarea lui Dr. Oetker) este cu adevarat buna. O recomand. Deja a fost probata.

Some bamboo knitting needles ,a big crochet hook, some socks wool ...hmmm, not at all cheap this wool.Hope to get some mirific socks of it.LOL.
And now something for "eating" part...as my other hobby is cooking I do complete my cookbook library with two new babies : an austrian one and a german one( both in english). And of course a spaetzle tool...I LOVE spaetzels...
By the way the german book is really-really good. I recommend it ! already tried.
