Starea mea de azi ;)

My mood today ;)

In ultimul timp nu ma odihnesc bine....adorm foarte tirziu , spre dimineata si ma trezesc obosita....gindurile umbla aiurea, obosite si ele....si obositoare totodata.
Am descoperit - cu mare bucurie - ca , atunci cind ma joc aiurea cu pensula pe pinze,...nu gindesc ! pe cuvint. Sunt libera si usoara si nu gindesc....e o stare de gol si de lumina totodata....si ma simt atit de bine :). Culoare dupa culoare si descopar cit de repede s-a "umplut" pinza....:)
Azi am pornit intentionat la mizgalit pinze doar asa pentru a ma elibera de ginduri....folosesc bucati "urite" din alte experimente - vopsirea naturala, sau esecuri din primele incercari de stampilare....
Le intzep -pinzele - , pe toata marginea,  cu ace de gamalie pe o foaie mare de polistiren imbracata in nylon si ...lumea e a mea ! :)

Lately I didn't get a proper sleep...I fell asleep very late - in the morning- and I wake up tired...my thoughts are disordered, tired...and tiring , too.
I happily discovered that in those moments when I doodle with paints on fabric I don't think! honestly.
I'm free and lightweight and I'm not thinking at anything....an emtpy feeling, a lightened empty feeling...and I feel so good :) Colour after colour and soon discover that the fabric is "full"...
Today I started intentionate to doodle on some fabric just for releasing my thoughts...I use "ugly" pieces of fabric , previously used in other experiments like natural dyeing or stamping and decided as failures.
I pin them on a polystyrene sheet covered in nylon and....I own the world ! :)

dupa ce se usuca, le calc  si le...admir (ha-ha )...   nu conteaza CE iese atita timp cit ma simt BINE.... si aceste doua bucati vor deveni in scurt timp carti postale textile. Mixed-media :).

After drying, I iron them and....admire .LOL.Doesn't matter WHAT results as long as I'm feeling GOOD....these two pieces will become shortly fabric postal cards. Mixed-media. :)

Pentru ca Beverley - prietena mea englezoaica - urmeaza sa plece din Romania , si mai ales pentru ca ii place mov-ul  ;), azi i-am pregatit un mic cadou de ramas-bun....O pernita - o stea paper-pieced dupa metoda Carol Doak - si o fotografie de la ultima noastra intilnire de lucru...moment cind i-am facut  brosa mov care se vede in imagine ;). Am pus fotografia intr-o rama cu doar putin decoupage - flori de lavanda.... Mda, iarasi mov :))

Because Beverley - my english friend - is leaving Romania, and also because she like purple, today I prepared her a small farewell gift. A paper-pieced star ( Carol Doak method ) pillow and a picture of her from our last working-meeting...time when I made her that purple brooch that you see in the picture. I made a painted frame with just a little decoupage - some lavender flowers....Yep, purple again :))

Are sa-mi lipseasca....dar cine stie cind , mai incolo in viata, drumurile noastre se vor intersecta din nou....

I'll miss her....who knows when later in life, our roads will intersect again ......

Povestea lui Berry poate sa continue la nesfirsit pentru ca cele mai frumoase povesti sunt cele din copilarie....apoi urmeaza alta perioada in viata cind povestile copilariei se transforma in povesti de dragoste...

Berrys' story could go on for ever and ever because the most beautifull stories are childhood ones....then follows another period when childhood stories becomes love stories....

delicate, azurii, fine...romantice.

Today I've done these

Azi am facut aceste 3 perne, din catifea. Alb-crem...Le-am infrumusetat cu bentita aurie in cele doua laterale si am evidentiat conturul florii- calei - cu fir auriu-metalizat Coats.
Pentru ca ii promisesem mai demult unei persoane dragi un set de perne...de fapt ii promisesem 4 bucati dar nu m-am incadrat in material. Multumesc, Geta, pentru catifea ! previziunile tale cum ca se vor transforma in pernite s-au adeverit. ;))

Today I've done these 3 velvet sofa-pillows. White-cream...I embellished them with golden trim on the two sides and I outstand the flower contour with gold metallic yarn from Coats.
And all these because I made a promise to a dearest person, sometime ago, to make her a set of sofa-pillows...actually I promised her 4 pieces but the fabric wasn't enough for so much. Thank you again, Geta, for the velvet!...your prevision that it will become some pillows was true. :))


Ca sa imi iasa totusi 3 bucati le-am croit spatele tot din catifea, de data aceasta uni, alba.
Still, to have at finish 3 whole pieces, I made -for all of them- a white velvet back.


Si au fermoar pentru ca sa poata fi spalate la nevoie. Insert-ul este din tnt umplut cu vatelina speciala pt perne.
And also, they have a side zipper for an eventual need of washing the cover. The insert is made of tnt filled with special pillow-fiber.



Recunosc ca mi-a prins bine aceasta tura de forta de cusut - le-am facut contracronometru, azi - asa am uitat pentru citva timp de durerea acuta din suflet...
Oare ce sa fac miine ca sa uit din nou ??

I recognise that this sewing "shot" - I said "shot" because today I was working on counted time - help me a lot to forget that accute pain in the soul...
What should I done tomorrow to forget again ?

purple pillow

O alta pernita ! mov!! anul acesta a fost in intregime MOV pentru mine ;))
Pentru un decor luxos...materiale folosite : saten negru, matase, saten mov inchis, fibre felt, margeluze, fire decorative franjurate.
Dimensiuni : 40cm x 40 cm.

Another pillow ! purple ! this year was entirely a PURPLE one for me ;)) even in my garden I have all sorts of purple here and there...destiny speaks ?
A pillow for a luxury decor... fabrics used : black sateen, silk, dark purple sateen, felt fibers, beads, fancy trims. Punched and free-motion embroidered on surface.
Dimensions : 15,7" x 15,7".


Spatele, de data aceasta a fost prelucrat si el cu fire fantezie si fire felt.

The back of it, this time worked with fancy threads and felt fibers.Before was too sad plain...


Inchisa la baza cu fermoar si in final : semnatura mea! hmmm... un fel de...pentru ca masinuta mea super-fantastica nu are in memorie literele mici :(

Bottom zippered and finally with my signature ! hmmm...a sort of...because my super-fantastic sewing machine doesn't have the small letters in its memory...so I work with what I have. :(


Ei, bine...STIU ca va place....si STIU ca o asteptati pe urmatoarea...doar ca voi intirzia putin. Am o alta lucrare in asteptare...dar vine si urmatoarea pernita, fiti siguri ! :)))

Well I KNOW that you like this , too...and I KNOW that you're already waiting for the next one...but I'm gone be a little late this time. I have another work in hold and I must complete it.
But it will come, the next pillow, be sure of it! :)))

Am facut cea de-a doua pernita in stil Nejman...Galaxy.
Saten negru, fir decorativ pentru embelishment, matase pentru corpul stelelor , ate metalice.
Se inchide cu fermoar la baza, umplutura de polyfil in corp separat de pernita din tnt alb ( tnt = textile netzesute).

I made the second pillow in Nejman technique...named : "Galaxy".
Black sateen, fancy thread for embellishment, silk for stars, metallic thread. Bottom zippered, filling with polyfil in separate tnt ( non-wowen textile) white pillow

Si din rindul de HST-uri la care am renuntat in proiectul anterior, s-a format un alt table runner . Din pacate poza nu arata sobrietatea lui reala. .

From the row of HST that I gave up in the previous project, I made another table runner. Unfortunately, the picture doesn't show the real colours sobriety.

Deja am in minte schita pentru o alta pernita ;))...este atit de atractiva aceasta tehnica incit si noaptea visez doar asta :)) pernite-pernite-pernite...

I already have sketched in my mind the next pillow ;))...this technique is so attractive that even in my dreams I 'm sewing pillows-pillows-pillows...
I asked yesterday my DH what if I would wake up in the night, put down the security alarm and go sewing in my studio...Answer : "what if ?". So,...don't be suprised if you'll se a new post here someday at very early hours...it means it happened ;))

pillow in Chris Nejman technique

Chris Nejman este motivul pentru care am cumparat un embellisher. M-a innebunit cu video-urile lui , cu pernitele lui fabuloase...cu tehnica noua de lucru.
Sanda mi-a imprumutat cartea lui "Pillows - designer sewing techniques" din care am invatat teoretic multe...practic? si mai multe!
Puteti vedea mai jos prima incercare , felting cu diferite materiale : unele se comporta bine altele deloc! Pentru a ascunde marginea franjurata de la cele care nu s-au comportat bine am folosit tehnica "stained-glass" din patchwork, dar de data aceasta cu fire negre. Interesant, asa-i ?

Chris Nejman is the reason for that I bought en embellisher. He make me sleepless with his videos, his fabulous pillows...with his new technique.
Sanda did borrow me Nejman's book "Pillows - designer sewing techniques" from which I did learn a lot theoretically....and a lot more practically.
Here you can see my first try, punching with different fabrics : some did work well , some at all. For hiding the frayed end of those that did not cooperate, I used the "stained -glass" technique from patchwork, but this time I use black fiber ( wool ) . Quite interesting, isn't ?



Apoi s-a nascut o pernita. Pernita MEA. Am urmat pas cu pas sfaturile din cartea lui, dar doar pina intr-un anumit punct. Apoi am luat-o dupa cum imi spunea imaginatia...Materiale : saten negru+ auriu, matase mov, organza mov si roz, tulle mov, fibre felt mov si ciclam, margelutze mov . Fire decorative. Se inchide cu fermoar la baza. Dimensiuni : 40 cm x 40 cm.

Then a pillow was born. MY pillow. Following step by step of Nejman book but just untill a fase, then I let my imagination speak....loudly ! LOL. Fabrics used: black and gold sateen, purple silk, pink and purple organza, purple tulle, felting fibers and small beads. Decorative threads. It closes with a black zipper on the bottom. Dimensions : 15,7 " square.

Floarea din tulle iese in relief...evident un 3D modern.

The flower is 3D...obviously a modern tendency for every garments/products nowadays.

Pillow for Patrazel

Pentru ca Patrazel nu avea o pernita asortata i-am croit una pe masura ;)). Exercitiu de " incalzire" pentru quiltuire ;))
Because Patrazel didn't have an assorted pillow beside it I made one quickly as an warming exercise for quilting...;))

Pentru ca inca nu sunt hotarita ce model de quilting sa fac pe top am "dres" repede o pernita pe care mi-am incercat "talentele"
Cert este ca pentru Patratzele se potriveste mai bine un model mai geometric si nu "feather". deh...

Alte doua creatii : doua pernite patch.pentru soacra mea. Pe Happy ( stinga ) o voi pastra, in final, pentru ca i s-a lipit de suflet lui M. ;o)) . Daisy mare ( dreapta) va purta fundita rosie...

Another two creations : small patch.pillows for my mother-in-law birthday. I'll keep Happy ( left one) because M. felt in love with it. ;o)) The Big Daisy ( right one) will be the present, in fact.

Encore deux créations : petit patch.pillows pour mon anniversaire de belle-mère. Je maintiendrai Heureux (à gauche ) parce que M. senti dans l'amour avec elle ;o)) la Grande Marguerite (a droite) sera le présent, en fait.
